GLOCK Ecotech launches high-quality
outdoor battery storage system

The Austrian company GLOCK Ecotech is expanding its product range with the high-quality and reliable outdoor battery storage solution “GLOCK BESS”. This industrial storage system, built in a robust and secure container design, ensures that excess electricity is stored during off-peak times and made available during peak times. This makes companies largely independent of external power supply and thus increases their degree of self-sufficiency.

The development and production of the GLOCK BESS is carried out by GLOCK Ecotech in Austria. The company’s consistently high-quality standards are also reflected in the implementation of the battery storage solution.

With flexible options for storage capacity and exterior design, the battery storage can be adapted to both the required power demand and the visual appearance of the operational site. The systems can be used, for example, in residential areas, hotels, or industrial plants in combination with GLOCK Ecotech’s biomass-based heat and power plants as well as with any other power source.

The solid design features a high fire resistance rating (REI 120), corresponding corrosion, dust, and splash water protection, as well as secured air conditioning. Additionally, a real-time remote monitoring and control system enables continuous monitoring of storage processes and high reliability. The turnkey battery storage can be put into operation via a simple 3-phase 400 V connection (DC-AC solution). The size classes of 10, 20, and 40 feet have net capacities of 462 kWh (Small), 1078 kWh (Medium), and 2079 kWh (Large). To meet individual user needs, multiple systems can be operated in parallel and flexibly increased in quantities.
